Position Overview

The Web/Email Designer will assist with email and site content to improve brand presence and drive revenue. This opening requires you to work in a great environment and must have strong communication skills. We are looking for a candidate who is primarily design/development focused, but also has a strong background in A/B testing, customer lifecycle development.

Essential Functions, Duties & Accountabilities


Email Creation / Building

         Creating high-quality commercial/ecommerce/promotional email designs and ads based on knowledge of layout principles, efficient coding, and aesthetic design concepts.

         Generating new artwork for web templates and site content that is consistent with brand dynamics using Adobe CS6 and/or Adobe CC software (specifically Photoshop and Illustrator).

         Implementation of graphics and text into designs using Dreamweaver or hand-coded HTML editor.

         Implementation of marketing strategies to create graphic designs that align with promotional marketing campaigns; are consistent with branding; are audience appropriate.

  • Create email designs to ensure better inbox placement with focus on mobile first methodology.

         Testing email deployments and addressing design problems--whether they be HTML/CSS or graphics related.

Website Landing Pages / Graphics

  • Create custom landing pages using ZMAG platform to support online initiatives.
  • Ability to create and maintain all graphical needs on by creating banners and assets for all category and content pages.
  • All graphics require best optimization for website speed while presenting products as accurate as possible.
  • Use Photoshop to create product images for the web in accordance to the styleguide.

Overall Business Management

  • Support the establishment of annual budget and forecasts by product line, in conjunction with Digital Marketing.
  • Ensure achievement of monthly and annual category goals and P&L, instituting corrective actions and exploiting new opportunities to ensure performance at or above budget levels.
  • Ensure the development and execution of appropriate tracking, reporting and analysis at the category level to enable effective and timely decision making and actions.
  • Identify and exploit opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Serve as a member of the Creative team.
  • Maintain flexibility in work schedule to meet business needs.
  • Actively and positively contribute to the overall success of through regular contributions to the general management of the company. Support the company and other departments wherever and whenever your skills and experience would be beneficial.

  • Ensure the confidentiality and full and complete safeguarding the company's trade secrets and any of our business clients' customer lists and related records.


Educational Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in related field required

Experience and Skills

  • 2-4 years of experience in front end web development, hand-coding HTML, CSS for email marketing campaigns. Ability to read and edit code.
  • Experience with HTML/CSS and image mapping.
  • Must be proficient in Adobe CS6 and/or Adobe CC software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience with sFTP and computer network use and server directory structures.
  • Experience designing e-commerce emails, with an understanding of user interface and proper coding for HTML emails.
  • Familiar with current and best practices of web design, including cross-browser compatibility and web content accessibility.
  • Flash, Javascript, and video editing experience is a super plus!
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Educational background in web design, and/or web programming and strong understanding of various web technologies.

Specialized Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience with Oracle/Responsys (ESP) and Magento (Web Platform) is a plus!
  • Experience with Google analytics or similar web analytics tools.
  • Advanced PC skills Excel, Word and Outlook as well as experience with sales reporting and inventory systems.Ability to travel domestically when required, approximately 0-5%.
