Position Overview

Provide broad-based operational set-up, data, reporting and analytical support for and MCM brands' Outbound and Inbound Marketing sales initiatives. The Marketing Analyst will provide comprehensive reporting and analysis of customer and channel Marketing projects. The Marketing Analyst will work with the Director of Resource and Business Analytics to plan, set-up, coordinate, report, and analyze customer and marketing program performance. The Marketing Analyst is accountable for high quality, timely, and effective data set-up, reporting, analysis, interpretation, and recommendations. The Marketing Analyst is a person that is data disciplined and detail oriented.

Essential Functions, Duties & Accountabilities

Outbound Telemarketing

Responsible for designing and executing appropriate customer and product database queries for targeted customer selects and reporting that support the Outbound Telemarketing Sales initiatives. Support the assignment of customer records with Maximizer CRM to the OB Sales Reps. Deliver timely and accurate reporting and analysis that supports the evaluation of Outbound Telemarketing projects to key business units and department heads. Develop recommendations and follow-up actions. Provide assistance in the implementation of the recommendations.

Marketing Programs

Responsible for the day to day customer database selects and program reporting in support of Inbound Marketing programs. This includes designing and executing the appropriate database queries. Deliver timely and accurate reporting that supports the evaluation of Inbound Marketing projects to key business units and department heads. Develop recommendations and follow-up actions. Provide assistance in the implementation of the recommendations.



The Marketing Analyst will collaborate with the Director of Resource and Business Analytics and IT Department to ensure that he/she has a comprehensive understanding and working knowledge of the data tables and fields. This is necessary to manage the data design and structure to support on-going reporting and customized analysis.  Utilize the Hyperion reporting platform for the designing of queries and back end support for users. Project Management experience is a plus.


Outside Services

At the direction of the Director of Resource and Business Analytics, work with outside service providers to coordinate customer scoring models, and list hygiene.



Individual contributor role with no supervisory responsibilities.

  1. Serve as a member of the Analytics/Selects Team and support others as necessary.
  2. Maintain flexibility in work schedule to meet business needs.
  3. The Marketing Analytics team supports our internal clients. With that, the responsibilities of this position necessitate that the Marketing Analyst perform their duties in the office.
  4. Actively and positively contribute to the overall success of and through regular contributions to the general management of the company. Participate and provide leadership in inter-departmental meetings, projects and informal activities. Support the company and other departments wherever and whenever your skills and experience would be beneficial.

  6. Ensure the confidentiality and full and complete safeguarding the company's trade secrets and any of our business clients' customer lists and related records.


Educational Requirements


4-year college degree in business related discipline.

Experience and Skills

One - three years business experience, preferably in Direct Marketing, or data mining and analysis. Ability to create and execute database queries to pull customer and/or product data; interpret and report findings, conclusions, and recommendations. Previous work with enterprise SQL database query/reporting tools such as Oracle Reports, Cognos or Hyperion (Hyperion would be a major plus).

Excellent data reporting and analysis skills. Very good math/numerical aptitude. Computer literate with emphasis on advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Project management experience is a plus.
